Food is at the heart of Chinese culture, and festive dishes become even more elaborate during the New Year; on New Year’s Eve, families gather for a lavish reunion dinner, traditionally followed by setting off firecrackers at midnight to bid farewell to the old year and welcome the new. Chinese restaurants and Western eateries across all Peninsula Hotels will present special Lunar New Year menus, while The Peninsula Hong Kong will launch the “Year of the Snake Lunar New Year Fireworks Package” on February 11, allowing guests to ring in the Spring Festival with unforgettable memories accompanied by the Victoria Harbour fireworks.

Meanwhile, three Peninsula Hotels in the U.S. are offering exclusive New Year stay packages to ring in the new year, including a $1,000 USD gift voucher (approximately TWD 292,000) from renowned jeweler Van Cleef & Arpels, as well as a lucky New Year rate of $888 USD per night, symbolizing prosperity due to its phonetic resemblance to the word “fortune”; The Peninsula Beverly Hills will also host a distinctive New Year celebration party to welcome the Year of the Snake.
The Peninsula Bangkok and The Peninsula Beijing Wangfujing will offer seasonal Chinese afternoon tea, with calligraphy masters at The Peninsula Beijing Wangfujing writing spring couplets in the lobby and even creating personalized name pieces for guests as keepsakes.
