During the winter vacation, cultural and artistic events are taking place across the country. The Sanxia Museum in New Taipei City will also launch the "2013 Sanxia Winter Vacation Children's Fantasy Film Festival." Over two consecutive weekends, on January 26 & 27 and February 2 & 3, various children’s animated films with different themes — including "The Lost King’s Ship" and "Bedtime Stories" — will be screened in the museum’s lecture hall. Admission is free for all, with a limit of 149 seats per session. Visitors who fill out an event questionnaire after the screening can also receive limited-edition souvenirs.

This film festival features four highly acclaimed European animated films. On January 26 and February 2 at 10:00 AM, "The Lost King’s Ship" will be shown, featuring a delightful collection of Nordic sea vessels with charming anthropomorphic designs. At 2:00 PM, there will be the screening of "Bedtime Stories," an animated film by French animation master Michel Ocelot that blends traditional shadow puppetry techniques with 3D computer graphics. On January 27 and February 3, at both 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM, Spain’s renowned animations "The Revived Forest" and "Star Battle" will be shown. "The Revived Forest" tells the story of a group of adorable little animals who stand up to protect their forest. "Star Battle," which won Best Animated Film at the Barcelona Film Festival and the Goya Awards (Spain’s top film prize), follows the journey of a boy who is afraid of the dark as he searches for a fallen star.
