Ahead of the Lunar New Year, Kaohsiung City’s Tourism Bureau launched an initiative to further promote nighttime tourism in the city by distributing 30,000 copies of the "Night Owl Passport." The passport outlines five major tourist routes covering the east, west, south, north, and night scenes of Kaohsiung, and integrates over 60 local shops, hotels, and other businesses, offering discounts as high as 50% off and freebies with a total value of nearly NT$10,000. The Night Owl Passport is now available free of charge at 11 Taiwan Railway stations including Taipei, Taichung, Chiayi, Tainan, and Kaohsiung.

The "Colorful Nights - Night Owl Passport" compiles nearly 100 tourist attractions in Kaohsiung and designs five major themed travel routes: East Kaohsiung – A cultural harbor city for prayer and leisurely strolls; West Kaohsiung – Artistic riverside galleries for relaxed exploration; South Kaohsiung – A fashionable harbor city for enjoyment and shopping; North Kaohsiung – A romantic water city full of culinary delights; and Night Kaohsiung – A vibrant historic city illuminated by art and lights. In addition to the five main routes, the Tourism Bureau has also partnered with over 60 local businesses offering dining, entertainment, accommodation, and shopping options at night. For accommodations, present the passport at hotels such as Howard Plaza Hotel Kaohsiung, Grand Hi-Lai Hotel, and Spring Art Hotel to enjoy discounts of 50% off or more. For entertainment and dining, venues such as Chengcing Lake, Datang KTV, Sea World, and Red Brick Cellar Music also offer great deals.
Starting now, 30,000 copies of the "Colorful Nights - Night Owl Passport" can be collected free of charge at 11 Taiwan Railway stations including Taipei, Taichung, Chiayi, Tainan, and Kaohsiung, airport stations such as Songshan, Hualien, and Kaohsiung, as well as at tourist service centers in Taipei’s Eastern District, Beitou, Jian Tan, Ximen MRT stations, and at nine service areas along national highways.
