EVA Air officially joined the Star Alliance today. In addition to launching a newly designed membership card, the airline also invested in inviting Takeshi Kaneshiro to shoot a new version of the advertisement, which will air tonight at 20:58 on various news channels. (Photo provided by EVA Air)
The new EVA Air advertisement is available in four language versions: Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, English, and Japanese. The filming locations span Tokyo and Nara in Japan, Paris in France, and Taitung in Taiwan. The shooting schedule lasted as long as 37 days. This marks not only the longest duration and the most diverse locations Takeshi Kaneshiro has been involved in for an ad, but he also personally recorded all the voiceovers.
The new advertisement will also be featured on the campaign’s official website, allowing netizens to enjoy the beauty of the world with Takeshi Kaneshiro at any time. (Image source / EVA Air official website)
All versions of the advertisement videos and behind-the-scenes featurettes will be available on the campaign’s official website www.evaiseeyou.com after 20:58 tonight. In addition, EVA Air has also launched a global online campaign called “I See You – Share What You See.” From now until July 15, netizens from around the world can upload photos taken during their travels to the event’s photo wall, write about what they’ve seen, and share them on Facebook for a chance to win EVA Air’s “round-trip tickets to any destination” as well as premium gifts such as a commemorative booklet and postcards from the Takeshi Kaneshiro advertisement.
In addition, to align services with other Star Alliance airlines, EVA Air’s former frequent flyer club will be renamed “Infinity MileageLands Unlimited Miles.” First Class (Royal Laurel Class) in-flight amenities will include Noritake fine bone china tableware and RIMOWA overnight kits. The redesigned Infinity MileageLands card will feature the Star Alliance logo and can be used as an identification symbol when flying with Star Alliance airlines. Diamond and Gold card members will have the same privileges as Star Alliance Gold members, while Silver card members will have the same benefits as Star Alliance Silver members. When flying with Star Alliance airlines, simply presenting your membership card will grant you access to corresponding benefits, including dedicated check-in counters, priority boarding, additional free checked baggage allowance, and access to over 1,000 airport lounges worldwide.
