For the first time in the three years since its opening, The Regent Taipei has invited a Michelin-starred chef to serve as a guest. Chef Mak Kwai Pui from Hong Kong's renowned dim sum specialty restaurant 【Tim Ho Wan】—many are familiar with this Michelin-rated Hong Kong delicacy, and quite a few have even tasted it in person. From July 1 to August 31, the full range of 'Tim Ho Wan' Michelin-style Hong Kong dim sum menu will be offered, starting at just over a hundred NT dollars. This reflects Chef Mak’s culinary philosophy—"absolutely delicious cuisine that everyone can enjoy."

To demonstrate its commitment to the culinary market, The Regent Taipei assembled several chefs under the Yunlan Tourism Group more formally than other peers. Led by Chef Chen Weiqiang, they traveled to Hong Kong to study under Chef Mak for nearly a month, learning every secret and step of the Michelin-style Hong Kong dim sum from 3:00 AM to 10:00 PM every day. They are dedicated to bringing the authentic, star-level Hong Kong dim sum to Taiwanese diners without any compromise.
Currently, the two Gala Dinners at The Regent Taipei on June 28 sold out within a week of the announcement. In response to overwhelming consumer interest and to align with the summer vacation season, the hotel will also offer afternoon tea sessions at the Royal Palace from July 1 to August 31.
All Michelin-style Hong Kong dim sum will be available at just NT$99 during these serving times (original prices range from about NT$100 to NT$280), allowing all Taiwanese fans of 'Tim Ho Wan' to savor this Asian culinary pride as often as they like—without the need to travel all the way to Hong Kong.
