Summer vacation is here, and besides heading to the beach or watching movies, there's also the "Robot Kitty Future Park – Mechanical Kitty Smile Tech Interactive Exhibition," which will make its debut at Warehouses No. 2 and No. 3 of Songshan Cultural and Creative Park on July 12. Unlike traditional static exhibitions, Robot Kitty Future Park pioneers a theme park combined with interactive experience, using cutting-edge technology to engage visitors up close—making you feel like an engineer developing Robot Kitty and offering an unprecedented exhibition experience full of fun. This summer will be not only joyful but also super kawaii (cute)!

This event centers around the storyline of helping Dr. Kitty da VinKI develop Robot Kitty, allowing participants to step into the shoes of Robot Kitty R&D engineers and undergo training at the high-tech Sanrio Robotics Institute (S.R.I.). Through training programs in five departments—Design, Parts, Maintenance, Quality Control, and Energy—visitors can use their Robot Kitty plush ticket or interactive chip card from the interactive ticket to complete designated missions and actively participate in the development of Robot Kitty. Additionally, those who purchase the plush ticket can earn K-coins and experience points during training to redeem exclusive accessories for their plush, creating their very own custom Robot Kitty.

The Robot Kitty exhibition has previously been held in places like Hong Kong and Japan, where it caused quite a sensation. This time in Taipei, it’s a full-scale recreation, almost as if the S.R.I. institute has been built right inside Songshan Cultural and Creative Park. Within the over 700-ping (approximately 2,300 m²) mega exhibition space, visitors can explore various themed settings and enjoy the excitement and novelty of navigating a maze-like exhibition route. Moreover, it’s not just Robot Kitty—various other beloved Sanrio characters will also appear throughout the S.R.I. institute, each managing their own departments and performing their roles. Life-sized versions of My Melody, Kuromi, Bad Badtz-Maru, Keroppi, Monkichi, and Mimmy will be waiting at the venue for photos with visitors.

To celebrate this grand event, in addition to the exclusive first-time display of original Robot Kitty character design drafts and scene sketches from the Japanese Sanrio headquarters, the organizers have also collaborated with the Taiwan Illustrators' Association and the Fandora creative community, inviting talented designers to join in the inaugural Taiwan showcase with their brushes. The exhibition features creations from Taiwanese cultural designers such as Xiao Qingyang, Fu Erliang, Feng Yu, Yang Shengzhi, Big Strawberry Sheep, Xinkami, Lightning Kid – Huang Xiwen, BO2, Prince Noodles, Nan Jun, Luo Huifu, and works co-created with the Child Welfare League Foundation and children from the Homeless Children’s Foundation. Designers from the Hong Kong brand Husky x3, including Kevin, as well as celebrities like Amber An and Yvonne Yao, have also participated. These specially designed versions by the artists include ones clad in armor as samurai, others holding syringes as angels in white, and even an Iron Kitty fused with Iron Man—all boasting bold and eye-catching personalities that showcase immense creative energy, guaranteed to leave you in awe.
Ticket types for this exhibition are divided into three categories: Plush Ticket, Interactive Ticket, and General Admission. The Plush Ticket includes one Robot Kitty interactive plush toy with a built-in chip and one admission ticket; regular price is NT$2,000, discounted price NT$1,800. The Interactive Ticket includes one limited-edition lanyard, one-time use of an interactive chip, and one admission ticket; regular price NT$660, discounted price NT$580.
