Centered around the theme of "Penghu—The World’s Most Beautiful Bay," the "2013 Penghu Beach Carnival" integrates activities across various beaches in Penghu including Lindo Beach, Aimen Beach, Guanyin Pavilion, Magong Fishing Port, and Chimei Fishing Port. The carnival will run from July 27 for over three months, featuring weekly themed holiday events that promise to make this year’s Penghu Bay even more exciting. This year’s opening beach concert will take place at 5:00 PM on August 17 at Aimen Beach, where singer Chen f and the New Taiwan康乐队 will liven up the atmosphere. Enjoy a romantic evening on the Penghu shores with sea breeze, tidal sounds, and a dazzling fireworks display.

Over the nearly three-month event period, there will be activities scheduled each week, with around 20 exciting programs. These include thrilling survival experience camps, where participants, guided by professional instructors and using Penghu’s unique terrain as the backdrop, will develop strategies and push their limits. You can also join the increasingly popular beach volleyball matches. In the evenings, there will be beach music parties featuring well-known DJs who will spin the latest dance tracks for you to enjoy under the moonlight on the sandy shores.
Nostalgic for the days of dragging a stool to the temple square to watch outdoor movies as a child? This year’s event includes open-air cinema too, but with screenings set right on Penghu’s beaches. Feel the sea breeze while sitting or lying back, and enjoy films under the stars in total relaxation. In addition to popular blockbusters, the event will also screen a series of romantic love stories during Valentine’s season, offering couples a magical night by the beach.

This event will feature a lineup of concerts, whether it’s rock ballads by bands or the pure tones of unplugged performances—the variety of musical styles all sound especially wonderful under the moonlit beach.
