How to have the best time in Kaohsiung? Starting in August, the Kaohsiung City Government Tourism Bureau launched the “Four Seasons Light Travel in Kaohsiung,” featuring over 10 “Kaohsiung Light Travel” routes. Whether you’re going on a family trip, a romantic date, an art and culture exploration, or a rural scenery adventure, the itineraries are diverse. In addition to professional guided tours, there’s also the fun of DIY local product experiences — all starting from just NT$399 per person.

The 2013 Four Seasons Light Travel in Kaohsiung offers routes priced between NT$399 and NT$750 per person. The first wave of summer routes includes “Hot Air Balloon Countryside Charm,” “Highway 17 Seaside Fishing Village Adventure,” “Highway 21 Mountain Town Compassion Tour,” and “Highway 27 Forest Hot Springs and Phytoncide Journey.” Future seasonal itineraries will also feature “Highway 22 Rural Fruit Picking & Lohas Fun,” “Strolling Through the Moon World and Tasting Local Banquet Culture,” “Spiritual Journey of the United Religions,” “Learning Tour in Northern Kaohsiung,” “Deep Dive into Highway 27’s Forest Purple Butterfly Valley,” “Discovering the Three Treasures of Qijin Marine Delights,” and “Intellectual Kaohsiung: Eco-Art & Cultural Journey,” among others. These cover various tourist spots across Kaohsiung City, ensuring participants can find the perfect route to enjoy to the fullest.
Hsu Chuan-sheng, Director of the Kaohsiung City Tourism Bureau, stated that the bureau has planned a variety of tour routes spanning the entire city. Whether choosing a single itinerary or exploring all quadrants for a 360-degree experience, the public can enjoy a more diverse and alternative taste of life in Greater Kaohsiung, gaining deeper insights and emotional connections with the people, culture, and scenery here.
