For travelers who love uploading photos to Flickr to share, do you know which countries are the most popular for tags? Yahoo! announced that the photo-sharing platform Flickr, with nearly 100 million users, has officially launched in Taiwan, and at the same time revealed the countries with the most tagged photos globally — Taiwan ranks 8th. To showcase Taiwan’s most beautiful scenery, people, and culture in real time, the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications has partnered with Flickr to share classic Taiwanese tourism images with the world through the globally renowned Flickr platform.

For many, capturing, sharing, and exploring beautiful photos has become part of daily life, and tourism is also promoted through continuous sharing. The new Flickr offers free 1TB storage space, supports mobile apps, allowing Taiwanese netizens to enjoy more space, full-resolution images, and instant photo sharing. It also encourages users to record and share every genuine feeling about Taiwan through Flickr, letting the world see the beauty of Taiwan.
Taiwan Tourism Bureau International Division Deputy Director Cheng Ying-hui said: “Taiwan’s rich local culture and the ever-changing seasons are truly amazing, and a single image can deeply resonate with and move travelers. In addition to opening an official Tourism Bureau account on Flickr to upload beautiful images of Taiwan, we also want to issue a ‘beauty mobilization’ call to Taiwanese netizens to tag and upload beautiful Taiwan/Taiwan photos to Flickr. Or, through the ‘Flickr Weather Project,’ we can share Taiwan’s scenic photos showing different times, weather conditions, and the island’s charm with tens of millions of global users of the Yahoo Weather App.”
