EVA Air’s first 777-300ER Hello Kitty livery aircraft is set to make its grand inaugural flight on the Taoyuan–Los Angeles route on September 18. To celebrate the launch of the first 777-300ER Hello Kitty livery aircraft, EVA Air has specially launched a premiere group – the “Kitty Plane First Flight to Los Angeles, USA – Limited Fan Group.” Fans of Hello Kitty are warmly invited to fly to the U.S. together. On the day of the first flight, Hello Kitty herself will see passengers off at the airport, and renowned Hello Kitty designer Ms. Yamaguchi Yuko (山口裕子) will also host a limited-edition autograph session aboard the inaugural flight. Members of the fan group can also attend the grand Hello Kitty Jet Los Angeles Celebration Party as VIPs, getting up close with Sanrio family characters.

EVA Air stated that the new livery aircraft features a theme and appearance different from previous ones, guaranteed to offer a refreshing experience. It is currently in the livery painting stage. The aircraft will operate its inaugural flights on BR12 Taipei–Los Angeles on September 18 and BR01 Los Angeles–Taipei on September 19. Starting September 20, it will regularly fly on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays on BR16 Taipei–Los Angeles, as well as Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays on BR15 Los Angeles–Taipei. In the future, it may also expand its routes to Europe.
Since the end of 2011, EVA Air has successively launched five Hello Kitty livery planes, operating flights to Japan, Hong Kong, South Korea, Mainland China, Guam, and other destinations, which have been widely loved by travelers. Not only have they captivated Taiwanese passengers, but they have also garnered extensive media coverage in Europe and the United States. To share the adorable charm of the Hello Kitty Jet with even more passengers, EVA Air specially collaborated with Sanrio to design a 777-300ER livery aircraft and created a brand-new theme and design.
