The yellow duck is set to meet everyone on September 19th, Mid-Autumn Festival. To welcome the yellow duck, the Hongmaogang Cultural Park has specially added a “Pier-2—Asia New Bay Area” harbor cruise route on its exclusive yacht, offering comfortable yacht facilities as well as professional guided tours, taking visitors on a relaxing trip around the nearby docks to admire the yellow duck up close from the boat.

Normally, the Hongmaogang Cultural Park’s exclusive yacht sails between Pier-2 and the Hongmaogang Cultural Park, featuring “sunset views” and “ships entering the harbor” as its main highlights. The Culture Bureau stated that in conjunction with the yellow duck exhibition period, in addition to the regular routes, the Hongmaogang yacht will also offer a new “Pier-2—Asia New Bay Area” luxury harbor cruise route. In addition to getting even closer to the yellow duck, the route also aims to help visitors learn about the various major public infrastructure projects in the “Asia New Bay Area,” including the World Trade Exhibition and Convention Center, the Kaohsiung Music Center (Ocean Cultural and Popular Music Center), the Kaohsiung Port Harbor and Travel Center (cruise terminal), the new Kaohsiung Public Library, and the Waterfront Light Rail.
To facilitate ticket purchases, the Culture Bureau has also partnered with i-bon to launch a boat ticket ordering service. Ticket prices are NT$299 for adults and NT$199 for concessionary tickets. An early bird ticket scheme is also available: those who purchase early bird tickets before September 18th can enjoy discounted prices of NT$199 on weekdays and NT$249 on holidays for adults.
