Officially licensed Yellow Duck merchandise has been unveiled and will go on sale at Kaohsiung’s Glory Pier on September 19th. The event organizer, Left Brain Creative Marketing, announced today (the 14th) the list of official products, including: a limited-edition Yellow Duck Kaohsiung commemorative edition, three types of Yellow Duck T-shirts, Yellow Duck towels, Yellow Duck set lapel pins, Yellow Duck washi tape, Yellow Duck cool fans, and Yellow Duck Kaohsiung commemorative postcards — a total of seven types of memorial goods. All items will be sold exclusively on-site at Glory Pier. The limited-edition Yellow Ducks are limited to 18,000 pieces and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis, with a purchase limit of 4 per person. All merchandise is scheduled to officially go on sale after the opening ceremony on September 19th.

The organizers said: “The Yellow Duck itself is imported from abroad, and apart from the Kaohsiung commemorative stamp printed on its rear, we have also specially designed a unique package for the duck that incorporates Kaohsiung’s city imagery combined with the cute little duck, giving this Yellow Duck from the Netherlands more of the characteristics of Kaohsiung’s harbor. Meanwhile, the other types of souvenir merchandise were all designed and developed by a Taiwanese design team, manufactured by Taiwanese companies, and approved by artist Florentijn Hofman. They are the only officially licensed commemorative goods for the Kaohsiung Yellow Duck event.”

Among them, the 100% pure cotton Yellow Duck towel is made by a top-quality Taiwanese towel manufacturer and features an abundance of cute little ducks. The organizers expect it to be one of the best-selling items. In addition, aside from the limited 18,000 Yellow Ducks, the Yellow Duck set lapel pins will only be available in 5,000 sets, while all other items are currently being produced and will be ready for the public to bring home the joyful and heartwarming spirit of the Yellow Duck on the day the exhibition opens.
Aside from the seven types of authentic Yellow Duck souvenirs, the organizers have also designed an ultra-cute Yellow Duck sticker as a free gift. Anyone who purchases a souvenir item on-site will receive a Yellow Duck commemorative sticker, while supplies last. The souvenir tote bag also features an adorable Yellow Duck design and is highly collectible.
