The itinerary of the Yellow Rubber Duck’s wildly popular tour across Taiwan has become clearer. Although there were earlier reports that it would visit Taichung, Zhang Dachun, Director of Taichung City Tourism Bureau, recently stated that due to the lack of suitable exhibition space for the duck in Taichung, high licensing fees, and the fact that Kaohsiung had already secured the priority opportunity for the early display, the decision was made not to invite the Yellow Rubber Duck to Taichung.

Although the Yellow Rubber Duck won’t be coming to Taichung, duck fans in central Taiwan don’t need to be too disappointed. Starting October 26th at the Taoyuan Land Art Festival, the Yellow Rubber Duck will make a stop in Xinyi. With just a 1.5 to 2-hour drive, visitors can see the giant duck up close. Moreover, for those planning to visit Taoyuan to see the duck, the Xinyi area also offers attractions such as the Fanjiang Ancient Houses, Xinyi Flower Sea Leisure Park, and Yong’an Fishing Port, where you can admire historic architecture and enjoy delicious food, making your Taoyuan duck-viewing trip even more exciting and fulfilling.
