The Little Yellow Duck exhibition in Kaohsiung enters its final 7 days. As of yesterday (13th), it has attracted an estimated total of over 3.08 million visitors. The closing ceremony will be held at 16:00 on October 20. The Kaohsiung City Government is calling on children and adults across Taiwan who love the Little Yellow Duck to wear yellow clothing and bid farewell to the duck together on the 20th.

Liao Ruilong, Director of the Government Information Office, said that to thank the Little Yellow Duck for its one-month companionship in Kaohsiung, bringing happiness to many, a closing ceremony will be held at 16:00 on October 20 at Glory Pier. Fans from all over are especially invited to wear yellow clothing, the same color as the duck, to send it off together. The exhibition team has also carefully planned performances of the Duck Dance and Swan Dance, allowing everyone to share in the joy of the duck’s journey. Finally, as environmentally friendly yellow balloons slowly rise into the sky, everyone will say goodbye to the Little Yellow Duck together, and thank the duck for bringing a month of surprises and wonderful memories to Taiwan and Kaohsiung.
After the closing performance ends at 16:30, the Little Yellow Duck will return from Glory Pier to Pier-2 Art Center amidst the sounding of ship horns, water sprays, and the cheers of citizens and duck fans. It will then undergo hoisting ashore, deflation, packing, and other steps. All related work is scheduled to be completed by 18:00. The duck will remain in Kaohsiung as a memory of this surprising journey. During the weekend days of the Little Yellow Duck exhibition, the city government provides free shuttle services at Exit 1 of the MRT Central Park Station, and has designated special public transport lanes. Since implementation, the results have been positive. On the last weekend of the exhibition on October 19 and 20, the free shuttle buses will depart at 10:00 AM, with increased frequency during peak hours, operating as frequently as every 5 minutes. The schedule may be further adjusted flexibly according to the situation. Duck viewers are advised to take the MRT to Central Park Station and transfer to the shuttle bus to reach Glory Pier.
In addition, the inner lanes in both directions on Youth Road (between Zhonghua Road and Haibian Road) and the westbound inner lane on Youth Road (between Zhongshan Road and Zhonghua Road) are designated as public transport-only lanes. Except for shuttles, coaches, buses, taxis, and emergency vehicles, other vehicles are prohibited. Left turns by cars are not allowed at intersections along the route. The city government urges the public to use public transport when heading to Glory Pier to see the duck.
