Around mid-November each year, the entire Fukuoka city begins to embrace a Christmas atmosphere. Whether it's the festive decorations in homes or the jingling Christmas music in the air, it all signals the approaching holiday season. In front of the JR Hakata CITY plaza, over 700,000 LED bulbs are lit up, creating a nighttime spectacle that feels like a party of lights, filling the area with a romantic ambiance.
Blue Lights Christmas at Hyakunin
When the trees in front of Fukuoka Tower twinkle with tiny blue lights at night, forming a sea of approximately 100,000 blue lights, it officially marks the start of Fukuoka’s winter Christmas celebrations. The electrically lit Christmas tree design in front of Fukuoka Tower makes the tower’s surrounding glass walls shine brilliantly. The red lights in front of the tower stand out strikingly against the blue light path. Additionally, a towering Christmas tree about 108 meters high is set up in front of the tower, attracting many visitors to stop and take photos. The entire Fukuoka area is filled with an unparalleled sense of happiness.
