Roaming around Taipei, the convenient public transportation network allows travelers to effortlessly delve into the city’s streets and alleys, exploring both ancient and modern sights. To promote Taipei’s urban tourism and enable visitors to explore the city in depth through its convenient transport system, the Taipei City Government’s Department of Information and Tourism launched the 2014 edition of the “Taipei Pass Taipei Visitor Pass” travel and discount store guidebook. Starting from January 1st of next year, anyone who purchases an unlimited-day “Taipei Pass Taipei Visitor Pass” ticket can receive a limited-edition guidebook for free. The new edition includes private travel itineraries for the “Taipei Four Districts Design-Themed Tours” recommended by four travel experts: Liu Kexiang, Ye Yilan, Huang Zijiao, and Li Qingzhi, as well as discounts at 82 quality stores. It also features unique gifts that reflect Taipei’s city character, such as Diva Life’s “Panda Chocolate Slices” and Guo Yuan Yi’s “Pearl Milk Biscuits,” allowing travelers to experience the charm of Taipei.

A total of 60,000 copies of the “Taipei Pass Taipei Visitor Pass” travel itinerary and discount store guidebook have been produced, including 30,000 in Chinese, 20,000 in English, and 10,000 in Japanese. These combine design and cultural creativity elements related to Taipei, along with carefully selected coupons for 82 high-quality Taipei shops. Featured offers include 10 free redemption deals (Fortress Café, Zhuangzi Tea House, Miao Xian Wang, Jiade Pastries, Dah Black Small Couple, Mao Kong Big Teapot First Floor Teahouse, Taipei Puppet Theatre, Shao Shuai Zen Garden, Guo Yuan Yi, and Diva Life Chocolates), as well as exclusively unveiled original Taipei city gifts. In addition, the four travel experts — Liu Kexiang, Ye Yilan, Huang Zijiao, and Li Qingzhi — have been invited to recommend private itineraries, sharing their experiences and insights on Taipei’s design, culture, food, and independent travel, guiding visitors to discover the unique features of Taipei’s four districts.

The Department of Information and Tourism pointed out that the 2014 edition of the “Taipei Pass Taipei Visitor Pass” travel and discount store guidebook will go on sale starting January 1st, 2014, at Taipei’s various MRT stations and the Taipei City Customer Service Center of EasyCard Corporation.
