Taiwan’s most popular Wuling Cherry Blossom Festival is set to officially begin in mid-February. Some mountain cherry blossoms have already begun to bloom, gradually painting the hills in pink and attracting early spring travelers. This year marks the 50th anniversary of Lishan Hotel, which has launched the “Memories 99” special package in January. From now until January 25, there are five spots available every day, regardless of weekdays or holidays. Travelers can take a round-trip sightseeing bus from Taipei to Lishan for just NT$199 per person. Buses depart daily at 07:30 from Exit 3 of Taipei Railway Station East Gate, passing through Jiaoxi, Yilan, and stopping at Wuling Farm before transferring to Lishan Hotel. The return trip departs at 12:30 the next afternoon. The two-day, one-night itinerary requires staying at Lishan Hotel, with optional visits to Wuling Farm or Fushoushan Farm (shuttle fees and entrance tickets not included).

Lin Min-cheng, deputy general manager of Lishan Hotel, said that since launching the Lishan sightseeing bus in collaboration with travel agencies last September, it has provided an alternative way to visit Lishan. Originally priced at NT$1,400 for a round-trip per person on weekdays, the service has gradually become more established after six months of trial operation and has received positive feedback from travelers. Ahead of this spring’s upcoming cherry blossom season, they are inviting visitors to experience the beauty of the mountains with the special “Memories 99” offer for just NT$199.

Lin Min-cheng noted that the weather in Lishan during January this year has been pleasant, with cool but comfortable air. Some plum blossoms are already in bloom, and on a good day, visitors might even catch a glimpse of snow on the opposite mountain. After mid-January, early spring mountain cherry blossoms will gradually come into full bloom. It is the perfect season for people to plan a mountain trip together. Retirees, public sector employees, and seniors aged 60 and above can also enjoy additional accommodation discounts. To use this package, reservations must be made at least two days in advance, and relevant information is required to arrange insurance.
