The Taipei City Government has given its “Taipei New Bloom” website a complete makeover this year and launched a “Cherry Blossom Special Page,”recommending 10 top cherry blossom viewing spots based on blooming seasons, such as Yangmingshan Park where the blossoms are most stunning, Pingjing Street which sparked a cherry blossom craze last year, as well as urban cherry blossom spots like Zhongzheng Memorial Hall and the Taipei Water Park in Gongguan.It invites everyone to go on an outing together for a springtime “cherry blossom mini-trip.”

Meanwhile, as the Yangmingshan Flower Festival approaches, this “Cherry Blossom Frontier” event invites participants to take photos with cherry blossoms during the campaign period (Jan 4 – Mar 9), upload them to the “Yangmingshan Flower Festival Fan Page,” and join either the “Loving Cherry Blossoms” theme—where you make a heart shape with your hands next to blooming cherry trees—or the “Cutest Plush Toy Collection,” where you take photos with various dolls or plush toys alongside cherry blossoms. Choose one activity, leave a comment about your cherry blossom experience, and the photo with the most likes could win a NT$600 postal gift voucher.
