I. Star Western Restaurant
The Star Café, filled with memories of the 1950s, has finally reopened after much anticipation. But what truly made it famous isn’t its distinctive Russian coffee, but rather the tables full of cultural “rising stars” deeply engrossed in their creative work. This place nurtured many well-known cultural figures such as Lin Hwai-min, Huang Chunming, and Ji Ji… and can be considered the cradle of Taiwanese literature at the time.

On the first floor of the Star Café, you can also find delicious desserts with simple, authentic flavors that preserve the taste of foreign sweets popular during Taiwan’s early Westernization period—Russian soft candy, cheesecake, black forest chocolate cake—paired with a salon-style dining atmosphere full of literary flair, creating a retro yet fashionable vibe.

II. Zhanmei Western Restaurant
Zhanmei is located in the basement of a building, and its sign is not particularly eye-catching—it can easily be overlooked when passing by. However, since its opening, it has maintained a distinct charm with its classic and retro Western cuisine flavors, plating, and service, consistently winning the loyalty of long-time customers.
