As holiday seasons approach, the most popular winter vacation for students has also arrived. The Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications stated that this year, 21 theme park operators are participating in the winter vacation promotion campaign. In addition to the first to fifth day of the Lunar New Year, when the first 20 visitors born in the Year of the Horse can enjoy a 50% discount, there's also the "Challenge & Answer – You’re the Best!" event, where your discount index gets an extra boost from the “Year of the Horse.” Visitors can first learn some knowledge through online quizzes, then go on to grab the discounts.

This year, besides earning discounts through challenges, anyone who successfully registers for the challenge event will also be eligible for a lucky draw. On February 10th, three grand prizes will be drawn: the first prize is a 60-inch ultra-large LCD TV, the second and third prizes are two admission tickets each to any of the 21 theme parks in Taiwan, and one ticket each to any of the 21 theme parks, respectively.

Additionally, Tourism Bureau Director General Xie Weijun mentioned that this year’s holiday period is only six days, making overseas travel too brief. The best option is to visit the 21 theme parks, which are not raising prices and are offering plenty of discounts. To see the most beautiful winter cherry blossoms, head to Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village, Yunhsien Theme Park, and Dongshi Forest Farm; to admire tulips and peonies, you don’t need to go abroad — they can be seen at Shanlinxi; to view world-famous cartoons and fairy tales, visit Janfusun Fancyworld and West Lake Resort; for adorable animals, go to Leofoo Village Theme Park and Wild Animal Kingdom; Lihpao Land combines light shows, fireworks, and the futuristic "Heavenly Horse Starry Sky Technology Show," which is also quite a spectacle. Moreover, various theme parks are also offering 50% off admission tickets, free entry for children, and a range of other discount promotions, along with enhanced safety measures within the parks.
