2014 was the first five years of the Kaohsiung Spring Arts Festival (KSAF), a world-class performing arts event created, produced, organized, and promoted under the city’s name. With the support of nearly 300,000 audience members, it has gradually become Taiwan’s uniquely local international arts festival. Among its highlights, the musical "Thinking of You Every Day," paying tribute to the late singer Zhang Yusheng, will premiere at Kaohsiung’s Zhidé Hall on June 28–29. Ticket sales have begun, with an early bird discount of 30% available from now until April 13.

This production is helmed by Zhang Yusheng’s music partner, Hiroshi Sakurai, and stars singer-songwriter Hsiao Hung-jen and Chinese vocalist Pan Xiaofen. The world’s first musical featuring Zhang Yusheng’s songs, "Thinking of You Every Day," pays tribute to the late artist. Though Zhang Yusheng has passed away, the energy of his creations continues to resonate through the ages, offering boundless positive inspiration in today’s turbulent times.
Additionally, the 2014 KSAF Eslite Lecture Series will host a pre-show talk titled “In Love with ‘Zhang Yusheng’ – Pre-show Talk for the Musical ‘Thinking of You Every Day’” on April 26 from 15:00–16:00 in the atrium of the Eslite Dunnan Store’s 17F book section. Hiroshi Sakurai will be the speaker, guiding Zhang Yusheng fans through a retrospective of the classic hits that once ignited passion among those born in the '50s to '70s.
