In addition, the elegant and simple azaleas are in full bloom, while the bright orange-yellow irises are passionately heralding the arrival of midsummer. Thanks to the fine weather and beautiful floral displays, the number of visitors to Alishan National Forest Recreation Area has surpassed one million ahead of schedule, setting a new record.

The Alishan National Forest Recreation Area managed by the Chiayi Forest District Office of the Forestry Bureau reached one million visitors yesterday (22nd), setting a record for the earliest time to hit one million annual visitors in over 30 years since the park opened. The Chiayi Forest District Office assessed that this year’s favorable climate and absence of major natural disasters have led to the beautiful blossoming of flowers in the area, attracting many visitors to come and enjoy the floral scenery, thus achieving this historic milestone of one million visitors as early as April 22.

The Chiayi Forest District Office of the Forestry Bureau also invites the public to visit Alishan National Forest Recreation Area to witness the delicate beauty of the flowers and experience the ever-changing and stunning charm of Alishan.
