April is the season when spring showcases its charm. The lush green lawns of the Dagou Creek Ecological Water Management Park are also dotted with small, adorable white pom-pom flowers, forming a vast sea of white blossoms that resemble a blanket of snow covering the earth. Paired with the surrounding mountain and water scenery, it composes a beautiful landscape painting. The Dagou Creek Ecological Water Management Park, officially opened last year by the Taipei City Government Public Works Bureau, Water Resources Department, serves as a flood control and water regulation area during typhoon and flood seasons, with the green space at the bottom of the pond functioning as a sedimentation basin. During non-flood seasons, the public can enjoy recreational activities here, making it perfect for family outings. Visitors can get close to the water, enjoy nature, or even have a picnic on the green lawns for a relaxing half-day trip.

Baihua clover is a perennial herbaceous plant. It is low-growing with white flowers, and there are also pink or yellowish-white varieties. Its compound leaves consist of three small leaflets that are oval to obovate in shape, with fine serrated edges and long petioles. It can grow in grasslands, croplands, and gardens, tolerates low mowing, and thrives in various soil types and pH levels, though it prefers clay soils. It serves as a beneficial agent for natural or organic lawn care because of its nitrogen-fixing ability, which is much stronger than that of common weeds.
