A magical Doraemon "Anywhere Door" has appeared at Huashan Cultural and Creative Park in Taiwan. The Hong Kong Tourism Board's annual campaign "2014 Hong Kong Fun" features this outdoor creative installation to let Taiwanese visitors experience the thrill of stepping through a door and arriving in Hong Kong instantly. From now until May 4, an "Anywhere Door" will be set up on the large lawn at Huashan Cultural and Creative Park, with free Hong Kong round-trip flights given away daily. Lucky visitors who open the door to a pleasant surprise can fly to Hong Kong right away.

The knocking sound of "knock knock knock" piques the curiosity of visitors, drawing them in. The pink door not only has a cute design but also feels familiar, resembling the "Anywhere Door" from Doraemon. When opened, what you initially see is the actual scenery of Huashan in Taipei—but with one turn of the door, the view instantly switches to Hong Kong, making you feel as if you're right there. Each time the door opens or closes, a different scene appears. One second you're teleporting to Hong Kong's Central POHO district, where an elderly lady is helping you "beat the villain"; the next, you're in a teahouse with an auntie pushing a cart full of delicious Hong Kong dim sum; then, in the blink of an eye, you're on the Star Ferry, gently swaying on the boat. Even more amazingly, Hong Kong locals greet you and strike up conversations, as if you've stepped into a popular time-travel drama—just one turn of the door, and you're in Hong Kong. The delightfully surprising "Hong Kong Anywhere Door" has left visitors amazed, exclaiming how magical it is.
This year, the Hong Kong Tourism Board has adopted "2014 Hong Kong Fun" as its promotional theme, encouraging travelers to take the iconic Ding Ding tram to leisurely explore Hong Kong's various districts. Xu Weini, Director of the Hong Kong Tourism Board's Taiwan Office, said: "Hong Kong is a city full of surprises. Just when you think you know it well, there's always something new waiting to be discovered. With Hong Kong just an 80-minute flight away from Taiwan, it's the perfect choice for a short getaway. That's why we've created the 'Anywhere Door' concept—to let people experience the feeling of 'arriving in Hong Kong in the blink of an eye' and the joy of exploring Hong Kong's streets day and night." The event runs from now until May 4, open daily from 13:00–21:00 on weekdays and 11:00–22:00 on weekends, with free Hong Kong round-trip flights given away every day.
