On June 22, 2013, Mount Fuji was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, sparking not only a hiking boom in Japan but also drawing significant attention from many in Taiwan who love traveling to Japan and are keen on learning more about Mount Fuji.

A speaker who has climbed Mount Fuji multiple times, Da树, also specifically mentioned: “Since Mount Fuji was listed as a World Heritage Site, it has attracted many tourists from around the world, resulting in long queues of people stretching from the foot to the summit of the mountain. I’d also like to remind those planning to climb Mount Fuji that, in addition to recommended prior physical training and preparation of climbing gear, they should avoid undertaking ‘bullet climbing’ — attempting to scale the mountain overnight — due to the risks of exhaustion and poor visibility leading to accidents. Additionally, to avoid weekend congestion, it is advised to climb during weekdays and to steer clear of the Obon period to prevent slow progress caused by excessively long queues.”

The official climbing season for Mount Fuji runs from July to early September each year.
