Nestled in an alleyway in Taipei’s Da’an District, this small eatery not only sports a strong American-style design but also goes by the unique name Power Make Sandwich Co., Ltd. Specializing in various brunch items, its landslide sandwich is the biggest eye-catcher.

The shop stir-fries generous portions of spicy basil pork on-site, seasoning it with basil, onions, and other aromatics, then piles it all onto soft, creamy cheddar bread. Despite its massive portion, the sweet, salty, and mildly spicy flavor layers shine through, while the overflowing fillings and sauces spill beyond the bread’s edges—making the landslide sandwich a heavyweight contender among brunch options.

Many netizens say they’ve rarely seen such a generously stuffed sandwich, and the pork bursting out of the bread is especially enticing. Taking a big bite feels exceptionally satisfying, and although it gets your hands messy with sauce, it’s totally worth it. The only minor downside is that you’ll need to eat it quickly before the sauce soaks into the bread.

The owner used multicolored wood to create a patchwork interior, crafting an industrial-chic decor. Paired with vintage knick-knacks, dolls, and art pieces scattered throughout the space, the café becomes even more charming. It includes a bar counter and an open kitchen, and the most popular seating spot is the small sofa chair near the window. With limited indoor seating, visitors are advised to make reservations in advance.
