To ensure food safety and address public concerns about night market hygiene, the "2014 Taipei Night Market Food Festival" promotional series, guided by the Taipei City Government Department of Economic Development and organized by the Taipei City Market Administration Office, this year uniquely integrates the "Taipei City Ingredient Registration Platform." While strolling through night markets and enjoying delicious food, visitors can use their mobile devices to scan QR codes to instantly check ingredient information for peace of mind. They can also participate in challenges, collect stamps, and earn discount vouchers, plus enter lucky draws for grand prizes, all while shopping happily across six major night markets.

"2014 Taipei Night Market Food Festival" Promotional CampaignKicking off from June 6 (Fri) to June 21 (Sat), the event features six night markets—Liaoning Street Night Market, Nanjing Airport Night Market, Guangzhou Street Night Market, Shuangcheng Street Night Market, Shilin Market Night Market, and Ningxia Eco Night Market—centered around the "Food Detective Line."By searching for night market stalls and scanning QR codes, participants engage in fun, detective-like tasks to uncover answers. Beyond helping consumers truly understand ingredient information and ensuring food safety, the event also offers shopping discounts, making it a joyful experience to "explore night markets to the fullest."
Additionally, the organizers have specially invited consumers whose names sound like or resemble ingredient names (homophones, similar characters, or puns)—such as "简基诞 (Jiandan, meaning egg)," "杨筱徘 (Yang Xiaopai, meaning lamb chops)," or "梅盛彩 (Meishengcai, meaning lettuce)"—to join in the fun. Eligible participants are encouraged to visit the on-site event service booths during the promotional days at the six night markets andpresent their ID to prove they have a "delicious ingredient name." Once verified, they will receive a complimentary "NT$50 night market voucher."(Limited to 10 people per session, while supplies last.)
Night Market Food Detective Line:
During the event period at each night market, participants who complete the three challenge stages using a mission card—the first stage "Delicious Search: Night Market Ingredient Hunt," the second stage "Safe Ingredients: Photo for a Gift," and the third stage "Facebook Code In for a Prize"—will receive an "NT$50 Night Market Voucher" upon success. Limited to 300 participants per night market, while supplies last.
Collect Stamps, Enjoy Great Food:
Visitors who pick up the event DM (with stamp collection areas on the back) and get stamps at the promotion sites (each night market has 3 stamp locations; collect all 3) will receive an "NT$20 Night Market Spend Voucher." Limited to 500 participants per night market, while supplies last.
Explore All Night Markets, Win Big Prizes:
Participants who collect all 6 mission cards from the 6 night markets or gather a total of 18 stamps from the 6 night markets can enter the lucky draw for bonus prizes, with chances to win 3C gadgets, the Ningxia Night Market Thousand-Year Banquet, night market vouchers, and other great rewards.
