As summer arrives, the golden rain trees in Tainan have gradually come into bloom. After the Dragon Boat Festival, their vibrant display adorns the city in a golden hue. Particularly in the Hou-T’ou-Pi Scenic Area of Xinhua District, walking along the lakeside trail, you’ll be surrounded by cassia flowers, allowing you to wander through a poetic shower of golden blossoms.

The 2014 Tainan Golden Rain Tree Flower Season kicked off on May 15. To promote the city’s water recreation activities and coincide with the flower season, the Tourism Bureau organized a series of diverse water-based recreational experiences on May 24, June 7, June 15, and June 21 at the Hou-T’ou-Pi Scenic Area in Xinhua District. These events provide the public with opportunities to enjoy holiday water activities and aquatic leisure.

The water recreation experience activities include canoeing, SUP (stand-up paddleboarding), and windsurfing. The sessions are thrilling, challenging, and highly interactive and educational. Amid the tranquil ponds and the poetic golden rain, participants can enjoy a carefree aquatic experience, escaping the hustle and bustle—a true delight in life.
