The Taiwan Hot Air Balloon Carnival series of events continues. On June 18, after the hot air balloon wedding photo session, Taitung County Magistrate made a surprise appearance to officiate the ceremony. On June 19, the black knight-shaped hot air balloon retired after a successful run, and more uniquely shaped balloons will take the stage.

On the afternoon of June 20, the Luye Gaotai Hot Air Balloon venue introduced a new wave of creatively designed hot air balloons, including the Girl Balloon, Yellow Jacket, Heart, Lucky Pants, and the cutest Miss Daisy. These five uniquely shaped balloons will meet the public, followed by their first flights at dawn on June 21. The dreamlike scene of these special balloons flying side by side over the valley is sure to be spectacular.

Additionally, on June 27, a light show and music evening will be held. That night, performers joining visitors at Luye Gaotai include OVDS, a band that has collaborated multiple times with international artists, and the electrifying “little sister” NIKITA Xiao Xie Jinyan, who resembles an electronic music goddess. Together, they’ll create a night full of rock and EDM with a strong local Taiwanese vibe. Show your Taiwanese spirit: Just join in the classic square dance steps embodying the local spirit, and you’ll receive a small gift. Hot air balloon fans, come and showcase the “Taiwanese spirit, rolling at Luye Gaotai.”
