The Japanese capsule hotel operator “Bay Hotel Group,” which previously offered Taiwanese travelers a 50% discount on stays as a gesture of gratitude for Taiwan’s donations and reconstruction aid following the Kumamoto earthquake, has recently opened a new capsule hotel in Tokyo’s Akihabara—and it’s “women-only.” Even solo female travelers can stay here with peace of mind.

Akihabara Bay Hotel’s capsule accommodation is exclusively for female guests, with a total of 130 capsule rooms. The exterior is a simple white, accented with pastel orange polka dots that make the visuals softer. The interior public spaces and rooms use light pink and white tones, creating a girlish ambiance, right down to the pastel orange pajamas.

The capsule rooms at Akihabara Bay Hotel are available with or without a TV, and guests can choose when making a reservation. Each room comes with USB outlets, free WiFi, an alarm clock, and more. Nightly rates vary by season, ranging from around 3,300 yen to 6,500 yen.

For bathrooms, in addition to private shower stalls, essentials such as shampoo and body wash are provided. The hotel also thoughtfully offers skincare products like toner, moisturizer, and makeup remover. There is also a lounge in the basement where guests can use a microwave and water heater. These various thoughtful amenities help solo female guests relax and unwind.
