On this Qixi night, gaze at the starry sky as the Cowherd and Weaver Girl cross the magpie bridge. Remember their love story? Share a fairy-tale romantic Qixi feast with your beloved. On Qixi Festival (Valentine’s Day) of 2014, August 2, L’Hermitage Hot Spring Hotel in Beitou launched a special “Kiss & Soak” French romantic set menu. The European Restaurant C’Est Bon, helmed by a Le Cordon Bleu chef, offers a NT$5,200+10% couple’s Qixi French set menu. Diners who share a sweet kiss upon entry will receive a NT$2,000 romantic couple’s hot spring room voucher. Let lovers enjoy a once-a-year Qixi double experience.

The European Restaurant C’Est Bon presents a premium Qixi French couple’s set menu for NT$5,200+10% per couple. Le Cordon Bleu chef Peter uses top seasonal ingredients blended with local Taiwanese flavors, skillfully blending traditional French delicacies with local Taiwanese elements, taking lovers on a flavorful journey between France and Taiwan.

Starters: [Sea Urchin with Charred Baishan Bamboo Shoots and Yuzu Miso Sauce], [Zucchini Soup with Seasonal Seafood and Spanish Chorizo], [Pan-Seared Quail with Beetroot, Lemon Butter, and Quail Sauce]. The first starter combines premium Hokkaido sea urchin with crisp Baishan bamboo shoots, accented with yuzu miso to highlight the sea urchin’s sweetness, like a love boat setting sail on a gustatory adventure. The second features stir-fried Taiwanese zucchini and onions, simmered with chicken stock and seasonal seafood, finished with distinctive Spanish chorizo for a rich, layered flavor. The third pairs pan-seared quail from Pingtung with vibrant beetroot, balanced by refreshing lemon butter and a hearty quail sauce made from quail bones and vegetables. The main course is [Boston Lobster and Scallop Mousse with Pearl Peas and Lobster Sauce], featuring premium shelled Boston lobster and meticulously crafted scallop mousse, with whole Hokkaido scallops blended into cream, pan-seared to highlight the lobster’s oceanic essence. Lush green pea purée and a warm brandy-infused lobster sauce create a stunning summer visual and flavor experience.

Another main course option is [American Waygu Black Angus Beef Tenderloin, Corn Tortilla, Yilan Sanxing Scallions, Bernaise Sauce, and Makau Pepper]. Selected from the highest grade of Waygu black Angus beef, it offers a firm texture with the signature sweet marbling of American beef. Paired with Yilan Sanxing and pearl scallions, their sweet and mildly pungent notes replace traditional onion and garlic, complemented by classic Bernaise sauce and native Makau pepper, balancing elegance and wildness. Dessert is the chef’s special Qixi treat [Cherry Wine and Chocolate Mousse with Vanilla Ice Cream and Crispy Coconut Shavings]. A dense chocolate cake layered with bitter chocolate mousse, cherry wine cream, and a tangy cherry glaze creates a bittersweet romance that lingers.

L’Hermitage Hot Spring Hotel sits atop Beitou, home to the first white sulfur springs of Daguizui. Immerse yourself in the purest, most soothing waters in an exclusive romantic space. The European Restaurant fuses local Taiwanese ingredients with authentic French techniques, crafting this year’s most ingenious French dining experience. Amidst the natural mountains closest to the Cowherd and Weaver Girl stars, treat your lover to a perfect French romantic feast.
