With the arrival of Qixi Festival, the Chinese Valentine’s Day, various events have been held across the country. Dadaocheng Music Fireworks Festival
The 2014 Qixi Festival will be dazzlingly romantic this year. Organized by the Taipei City Government,the “Taipei Dadaocheng Music Fireworks Festival” will romantically kick off on Qixi Festival (August 2).To allow everyone to better experience this year’s theme of “Love Without Limits,” in addition to the exciting performances and stunning fireworks displays on the day,a series of events will be launched around Dadaocheng starting from July 26, immersing the public in the sweet atmosphere of Romantic Lover’s Week and doubling the happiness.

The event integrates activities with surrounding business districts, including promotions and local cultural events organized by Datong District Office, Taipei Underground Mall, Ningxia Night Market, and the Back Station/Huayin commercial area. A special collaboration with Ningxia Night Market will offer a “Paper Panda Love Without Limits 214 Valentine’s Banquet” from July 31 to August 2. For just 214 TWD, couples can enjoy featured snacks from Ningxia Night Market, with only 10 sets available daily. There are two set meal options — “Innocent Childhood Friends” and “Deeply in Love” — each featuring five local specialties. Couples can savor these delicacies with the company of paper pandas. Reservations can be made by phone starting July 26. Additionally, the city government has collaborated with Taipei Xiahai Chenghuang Temple to commission Li Tingxiang Cake Shop to make “Marriage Destiny Cakes,” symbolizing good matrimonial fortune, helping citizens find their perfect match.

2014Tainan Love City Qixi Carnival
Tainan is a city of “deep courtesy” and home to the most distinctive wedding customs. In the “2014 Tainan Love City Qixi Carnival” series, the Cultural Affairs Bureau has specially organized the “Tainan V褪抡埂逼诼 (Exhibition period: July 26 to August 24, daily 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)at the Cultural and Creative PLUS Tainan Creative Center (formerly the Tainan Patriotic Women’s Association Building). Through a rich mix of static exhibitions and dynamic activities, it leads the public to experience the beauty of Tainan’s wedding traditions and the joy of life.

Penghu Love at Aimen
To promote Penghu’s most beautiful beaches and allow more visitors to see the island’s beauty, the Penghu National Scenic Area Administration has specially set up swings and land art on Aimen Beach. Visitors can sit back and enjoy the beautiful beach and sea views, take photos, and also celebrate the approach of Qixi Festival with the “Love at Aimen, Love Locked at Aimen” photo and souvenir event.

From July 28, 2014 to August 10, 2014, take a Kuso-style group photo with your lover, family, friends, or others with the “Aimen ‘Love Gate’” land art or the “PENGHU” letter design, upload it to the菊岛欢乐游 (Penghu Joyful Travel) Facebook fan page to join the lucky draw. Drawing locations are at the Makung Airport Tourism Service Center or the Aimen Golden Sand Beach kiosk, daily from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
