The school’s reconstruction took many years. After relocating here, it integrated with the surrounding natural beauty and adopted ecological education as its goal. Neihu Forest Elementary is entirely built with timber, combining Chinese, Western, and Japanese architectural styles. Its overall planning minimizes disruption to the original ecology, using existing block stones for walls and gravel for paths, preserving the original appearance of the cedar forest on campus. The design fully respects local landscape features. The school is divided into teaching areas, ecological zones, specialized classrooms, administrative offices, dormitory areas, and activity zones. The overall architectural style leans toward Japanese aesthetics, offering a rich charm. The design harmonizes with the original landscape, showcasing the original spread of cedar forests, turning the trees on campus into nature’s most beautiful landscaping.
