Situated in the backcountry of Lishan in Taichung, Fushoushan Farm was initially a purely agricultural operation established to settle retired soldiers for farming. However, as agriculture gradually waned and societal changes accelerated, the farm adapted in accordance with national policies and has since evolved into a leisure and sightseeing destination that combines agriculture with tourism.

Covering an expansive area of 670 hectares, Fushoushan Farm experiences distinct seasons, with different landscapes unfolding at various times of the year. As a result, there’s a saying: “In January, snow flies through the skies; in February, peach blossoms are praised; in March, cherry blossoms dance; in April, pears smile; in May, tea fragrance is savored; in June, chrysanthemums shimmer golden; in July, peach aromas are sought; in August, pear sweetness is tasted; in September, fruits are harvested joyfully; in October, autumn yields are bountiful; in November, maple leaves blaze red; in December, frost glistens.” This ever-changing seasonal scenery has made Fushoushan a highly sought-after attraction in recent years.

The farm is located five kilometers behind Lishan and is known for producing a variety of fruits and high-mountain vegetables. The famous Tianchi (Heavenly Lake) lies at the highest point within the farm's grounds. In the first half of the year, plum blossoms, cherry blossoms, peach blossoms, pear blossoms, apple blossoms, and a variety of other plants and flowers bloom in rich profusion, creating a colorful and pleasant landscape — a place where one could prolong their life. In the latter half of the year, it’s the season when various fruits ripen successively. The area is famed for its juicy peaches, pears, kiwis, walnuts, plums, California plums, and high-mountain vegetables. Most uniquely precious is the farm’s exclusive honey apples, which are juice-filled, crisp-fleshed, and taste as if they’ve been kissed by honey — incredibly sweet and delicious.
