The social messaging app LINE, which has demonstrated tremendous popularity through exhibitions and summer pop-up stores, is set to open its first official LINE FRIENDS store in Taiwan this autumn at Breeze Songgao. The store will begin a trial run on October 18 and 19, and officially open on October 24.

Even before the opening, the LINE FRIENDS decorations on the exterior of the Breeze Songgao store in Xinyi District had already become a hot topic. This Breeze Songgao location is Taiwan’s first long-term LINE FRIENDS flagship store. During the trial run period, there were limited entry points, with access via the entrance next to the Champs-Élysées Plaza. The official opening will feature promotions such as gifts with purchase, welcome gifts, and raffles, as well as exclusive sales of LINE Rangers merchandise. The opening event period runs from October 24 to November 5.

To complement the store’s trial run, the Champs-Élysées Boulevard also hosted the MY LINE STORY Story House event. Visitors could queue to enter the story house, write about which family member or friend they most often chat with on LINE, take a Polaroid photo, and participate in a lucky wheel game. Participants who completed the story house activity received shopping vouchers for the flagship store. LINE cartoon characters also made special appearances to meet fans on-site.
