Halloween is just around the corner. To let everyone soak up the spooky fun atmosphere unique to October, various locations have organized exciting and entertaining costume parties hoping to bring everyone together for some shared joy. In addition, major theme parks such as Janfusun Fancyworld, E-DA Theme Park, and Leofoo Village Theme Park are all offering special Halloween deals to ensure a thrilling October for all!

Taipei Expo Park will hold a Halloween party on the weekend of October 25–26 at the entrance plaza of the Yuanshan Park area, bringing a delightfully spooky experience that lets everyone immerse themselves in the authentic Western Halloween vibe — both scary and playful. The Taipei Expo Park Halloween Party includes “Halloween Horror Creative Cuisine,” a “Spooky Costume Contest” for kids and pets, a “Ghostly DIY Handicraft Market,” as well as the thrilling “Magic & Acrobatic Show” and the lively “Costume Street Parade Carnival” — trick or treat. Taipei Expo Park has prepared candies to hand out to children, encouraging everyone to unleash their creative spookiness in a joyful atmosphere!

Entering its sixth edition, the “What’s Haunting in Tamsui? Halloween Carnival” will take place from October 24 to 26 for three days. Themed around Taiwan’s folk belief of “Official Generals” (官将首), five grim-faced and imposing generals will engage in a mock battle against Western-style ghosts on Tamsui streets. Over 200 shops in the Tamsui shopping district will hang pumpkin lanterns and offer free candy to kids during trick-or-treat. On October 25, Tamsui Sports Park will feature performances by Tamsui Tofu Man and Tatung Baby, Coca-Cola fun zones, witch fortune-telling, and secret spooky dishes like “Lightning Teletubbies” and “Night Phantoms” from Bédane’s Secret Market. Special limited half-day and full-day tours of the Tamsui shopping district will also be offered at discounted rates. Everyone is welcome to gather friends and come join the fun.

Halloween, the famous Western traditional holiday, sees both adults and children donning quirky costumes the night before, wandering the streets in joyful mischief and scaring others. By tradition, people dress up as demons mainly to ward off evil and seek safety. The eve of Halloween also features harvest festivals symbolizing the end of the year and the beginning of a new one. Join the Halloween Carnival at Chengda Shopping District this weekend, from 10 AM to 6 PM on October 26.

E-DA Theme Park is also hosting a Halloween carnival, where the Haunted House Quartet includes a 4D kids’ haunted house, a 3D fluorescent haunted house, an adults-only haunted house, and a 5D haunted ship ride — guaranteeing plenty of shrieks for all visitors!
