In the lush mountainous area of Shilin District with strong autumn vibes, the Taipei City Government’s Department of Urban Development specially created a lavender field and a tea tree trail as limited-time seasonal attractions at the Neihsiangxi Nature Center, aiming totransform Taipei into a “Furano.” The lavender display was open from November 1 to November 9, 2014, inviting everyone to feast their eyes on the purple flower sea and let the soothing fragrance of lavender refresh both body and mind.

The lavender in the Yikang Garden at the Neihsiangxi Nature Center is in full bloom. Designed with the shape of Taipei city viewed from above the Neihsiangxi area in mind, the lavender planting, along with the tea tree avenue in the park, aims to offer citizens a relaxing environment.The Yikang Garden at the Neihsiangxi Nature Center will be open to the public for free from November 1 to November 9, 2014 (closed on Mondays for maintenance), daily from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM without prior reservation.Around 12,000 lavender plants have been planted, with approximately 60% currently in bloom, aiming to provide visitors with a more colorful experience.
