This time, major Japanese washi tape brand MT has partnered with Eslite for the first time to launch an exhibition in Taiwan at URS21. In addition to showcasing specially flown-in washi tapes from Japan, they have also prepared10 Taiwan-limited editions, featuring familiar designs such as bubble tea, the Formosan black bear, as well as the National Palace Museum, Taipei 101, and the Kaohsiung Dragon and Phoenix Pagodas—all printed on washi tape. Completing a whole roll feels like taking a tour around Taiwan, perfectly capturing the essence of Taiwanese culture. In addition,one of the major highlights of this washi tape exhibition that you can’t miss is the global premiere of four glow-in-the-dark tape designs, launching ahead of Japan.These join the previously released kraft paper and plush-textured tapes as special editions, showcasing even more creative possibilities in washi tape design. The exhibition is not only free to enter, but also features a DIY experience zone, turning the event into a vibrant and colorful washi tape party.
