To celebrate the official opening of the Songshan Line at 6:00 AM this Saturday (November 15), four night markets along the line are offering special promotions and discounts to welcome visitors. Collect receipts to redeem small gifts when you spend a certain amount. Spend over NT$100 at Liaoning Street Night Market to get a 10% discount, enjoy a lucky draw event at Siping Sunshine Commercial Area, and get NT$10 back when you spend NT$100 at Ningxia Night Market.

 ● Raohe Street Night Market (near Exit 1 & 2 of Songshan Metro Station)

   From November 15 (Sat) to November 23 (Sun), show your receipts from Raohe Street Night Market on the day. Spend over NT$1,000 to get a plaid tote bag, or over NT$2,000 to get a waterproof sling bag. Each item is limited to 1,000 pieces and will be given out while supplies last. Additionally, over 50 street vendors are also offering various shopping discounts, with signs posted for easy identification.

● Liaoning Street Night Market (near Exit 2 of Nanjing Fuxing Metro Station)

From November 15 (Sat) to December 13 (Sat), every Friday and Saturday from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, enjoy a 10% discount on purchases over NT$100 at participating stalls and shops in the night market. Participating nearby shops will also post signs for easy recognition.

● Siping Sunshine Commercial Area (near Exit 7 of Songjiang Nanjing Metro Station) In addition to setting up a “Commercial Area Joint Promotion Zone” in the pedestrian area of the commercial district with a special sale booth format, from November 13 (Thu) to December 15 (Mon), customers who purchase items from “Yellow Tag” and “Green Tag” stores in Siping Sunshine Commercial Area to form a “Yellow-Green Pair,” and present their receipts, can join a lucky draw at No. 83, Siping Street. Prizes include “10% off coupons for any item,” “NT$100 shopping vouchers,” shopping discounts worth up to NT$200,000, and even a chance to take home an iPhone 6 on the spot.

In addition to integrating the central area of the pedestrian zone in the commercial district by setting up a “Joint Commercial District Promotion Zone” in the form of promotional booth carts, from November 13 (Thursday) to December 15 (Monday), consumers who visit Siping Sunshine Commercial District can participate in a lucky draw by purchasing any item from “Yellow Tag” and “Green Tag” stores to form a “Yellow-Green Pair.” Simply present the invoice and receipt at No. 83 Siping Street to enter. Prizes include “10% off coupons for any item,” “NT$100 shopping vouchers,” and up to NT$200,000 in commercial district shopping discounts. There’s also a chance to take home an iPhone 6 on the spot.

● Ningxia Night Market (near Exit 5 of Zhongshan Metro Station) Aside from offering a 10% rebate when you spend NT$100 and show your EasyCard on November 15 (with participating street vendors posting signs for easy recognition), there will also be a “Ningxia Loves Charity” event on November 22 (Sat). All vendors will place donation boxes at their stalls. For every customer transaction, the vendor will donate NT$1, with a minimum donation of NT$100 per stall.
In addition to offering a “spend NT$100, get NT$10 off” promotion for consumers who show their EasyCard on November 15 (in cooperation with the event, street vendors will post signs to help consumers identify participating stalls), another event, “Ningxia ‘Bears’ Love Doing Good,” will be held on November 22 (Saturday). All night market vendors will place piggy banks at their stalls. For every customer transaction, the vendor will donate NT$1 to the piggy bank, with a minimum donation of NT$100 per stall.

※ Additionally, the Taipei Metro Songshan Line will officially open on the 15th. The long-standing 15-year “Tamsui–Xindian” direct route will come to an end. Taipei Metro has announced thatat midnight on the 15th, the last direct trains will depart from both Tamsui and Xindian, with “Last Train” signage on the front for passengers to take photos as souvenirs.

After the Songshan Line opens on the 15th, it will operate under the “Songshan–Xindian” model, meaning the Tamsui Line will no longer connect with the Xindian Line, leaving many commuters quite unaccustomed. This route has been in operation since the full opening of the Xindian Line in 1999 (Year 88 in Taiwan calendar) until November 11 of this year, marking exactly 15 years. During this period, it carried approximately 3 billion passengers. Taipei Metro expressed its gratitude for passengers' long-term support.
