Miaoli Tongluo is the largest domestic producer of chrysanthemums. The plateau terrain, along with large temperature differences and high humidity, plus the red-brown acidic soil, is very suitable for chrysanthemum growth. The region’s unique terrain and climate advantages allow Tongluo chrysanthemums to grow successfully with excellent quality. This year, the chrysanthemum planting area has expanded from 15 hectares last year to 26 hectares. The round, plump little chrysanthemums and the bright flowers planted nearby in the nurseries—such as sunflowers and cosmos—create an environment where bursts of fresh floral fragrance waft through the air, offering both a visual and olfactory feast of flowers. Additionally, the Tongluo Township Farmers’ Association also stated,The chrysanthemum flowering season is relatively short, with the best viewing time lasting only until early December, so those wishing to admire the flowers should seize the opportunity.
