Incredibly healing—the Owl Café with its super-cute, fluffy owls

More and more restaurants are adopting pet-friendly slogans, aiming to create a comfortable environment where guests can dine and play with their pets. But besides cats and dogs, owl cafés have become increasingly popular in Japan in recent years, featuring owls as companions to enjoy coffee with guests.

The earliest internet-famous ones are “Tori no Iru Café” (Bird’s Café) in Tokyo and “Fukurou no Mise” (Owl Store) in Osaka. Due to their high level of interest and the overwhelmingly cute, fluffy appearance of the owls, these two spots became extremely popular. Since then, many other owl-themed cafés have opened, such as “Fukurou Chabara” (Owl Teahouse), Osaka’s “Fukurou Café Crew,” “Fukurou no Mise” (Owl Family), and more… Each café has its own features and rules—some allow guests to play with the owls while enjoying coffee, while others prohibit touching and require disinfection first.
