The MUJI Taiwan flagship store grandly opened on December 20, 2014, officially settling into B2F of Taipei’s Uni-President Hankyu Department Store. The entire store is designed within a brand-new 338-ping space, centered around the concept of “offering a likable lifestyle in all aspects,” aiming to meet consumers’ various lifestyle needs. It also introduces Taiwan’s first-ever “Café&Meal MUJI” F&B business, and during the opening period, limited-time discounts and gifts were offered.

The overall space planning of the flagship store maintains MUJI’s consistent minimalist style, utilizing materials such as antique wood, red brick walls, iron plates, and earthen walls. The most natural decoration methods present a simple and comfortable shopping environment. The sales floor is divided into three sections based on flooring materials: the clothing section uses cement flooring to convey a clean and sharp feel; the children’s wear, maternity wear, and home furnishings sections feature wooden flooring for a warm ambiance; and in terms of product display, Japan’s new-style glass high shelves and wooden food shelves are used, while the kitchenware section adopts perforated shelving. Through rich and abundant displays, it's easier to understand the products and shop conveniently.

Furthermore, the flagship store’s special exclusive items include a “Taiwan black bear T-shirt, sika deer T-shirt for kids,” a “four-wheeled trolley suitcase in a limited-edition cherry blossom pink,” and an “air purifier,” all designed specifically for Taiwan. In addition, the new products and services offered at the flagship store include “MUJI Labo” apparel, which emphasizes material selection and tailoring, and a “home furnishing layout consultation service” that helps plan living spaces.
