To make the water-friendly staircases along the Erchong Floodway in New Taipei City more vibrant and engaging, the Water Resources Bureau incorporated creative inspirations from renowned artists such as Van Gogh and Monet during the initial design phase of the staircase murals, fully integrating local elements. With highly dynamic and playful compositions, the murals were beautifully painted onto the water-friendly staircases, transforming the originally cold concrete steps into the most eye-catching feature of the surrounding environment. As people walk up and down the stairs, their faces light up with satisfied and amazed smiles, radiating a sense of local happiness.
