The well-known doughnut brand haritts from Tokyo’s Shibuya district has generated quite a stir since opening its first overseas branch in Taichung at the end of 2013, drawing many visitors who made the trip just to try them. Now, you no longer need to go all the way to Taichung to savor haritts’ delightful flavors—haritts has also opened its second store in Taipei. The Taipei location is set in a renovated old building and, in addition to selling doughnuts, offers a variety of beverages, keeping the immense popularity going strong in Taipei!

Haritts’ Taipei store is tucked away in an alley off Fuxing North Road. The shop has a simple and understated exterior, with no flashy signage—just a round wooden sign symbolizing a doughnut placed at the entrance. The modest storefront feels as natural and welcoming as stepping into a friend’s home. Inside, there are one large table and two smaller ones, plus a bar counter. The simple space design, much like haritts’ doughnuts, may seem ordinary but hides a wonderful sense of happiness within.
