Northern Taiwan is home to a wide variety of cherry blossom varieties, including mountain cherry, kanhizakura, yaezakura, Showa cherry, and Yoshino cherry. From late January to mid-March, different types of cherry trees bloom successively.

In the area around Neihu Lehuo Park, kanhizakura usually blooms first each year, followed in succession by yaezakura, Showa cherry, and Formosan cherry.
The night view of cherry blossoms by the stream is incredibly photogenic.
Walking upstream along the Neigou Stream, you’ll find rows of cherry blossom woods — hailed as the most beautiful cherry blossom river in Taipei City. The park authorities have specially installed lighting to make the blossoms glow at night.

Under the illumination, the yaezakura appears even more vibrant and breathtaking. To attract more photography enthusiasts, the installed streetlights are positioned for the best angles to help capture the most stunning shots.
