With the increasing number of visitors to the Cimin Lake National Trail, multiple sections have suffered from erosion and exposure, and some mountain hut facilities have also been damaged. Therefore, the Taitung Forest District Office closed the trail on December 10, 2014, to improve trail conditions and upgrade mountain hut facilities, aiming to provide a more comfortable hiking and resting environment. After three months,it will finally reopen on April 1, 2015,implementing a total visitor quota based on accommodation capacity and introducing a mountain hut fee system. Originally, 176 people were allowed entry per day, but since the Cimin Lake mountain huts and campsites have not yet been fully prepared,the current daily application limit is 140 people (70 for Xiangyang Mountain Hut and 70 for Cimin Lake Mountain Hut). Additionally, the mountain hut fee is NT$300 per person on weekdays and NT$400 per person on holidays.

In addition, the Taitung Forest District Office reminds the public that to enter the Cimin Lake National Trail, one must possess a mountain entry permit, an approved mountain hut accommodation roster, and a photo ID for on-site verification by administrators. Hikers should also plan and prepare adequately before the trip and follow the "Leave No Trace" principles during the activity to jointly protect mountain resources, ensuring the sustainable development of the Cimin Lake trail and its ecosystem.

Application for accommodations is open from 45 days to 8 days prior to the intended lodging date. For mountain hut reservations on or after April 1, 2015,applications will open online104at12:00 PM on March10, with a lottery for bed allocations from April 1to April 9to be held at3:00 PM on the same day. Hikers are advised to apply on the Taiwan Mountain Leisure website during the designated time slots.September 9The bed lottery will be held on the said date. Hikers are requested to apply directly on the Taiwan Mountain Leisure Network website during the designated opening hours.
◎ Daily Applicant Limit:
