The recently popular laid-backgameTravel Frog has taken over my social media feed. Why is it called a laid-back game? Because everything is very random, everything is based on pure chance.

Anyway, I’ve already been captivated by Froggy. When Froggy isn’t around, I really miss Froggy. I want to give Froggy all the good things~ This game is very simple to play: harvest four-leaf clovers from the pond,

use the four-leaf clovers to buy snacks, prepare a travel kit for Froggy, and then quietly spy on Froggy, waiting for Froggy to go on a trip. Sometimes Froggy might eat for hours, do crafts for hours,

write a little diary for hours,

read books for hours,

and just not go out at all. Or sometimes, you might not even have time to pack Froggy’s bag before Froggy has already left. This complete lack of routine might just be the charm of Froggy, right?

Froggy walks in the rain, taking shelter under a mushroom umbrella,
gazes at the green temple roofs on sunny days,
crawls along tree branches... This makes every empty-nester parent at home eagerly await a postcard from their little one while anxiously worrying about Froggy — did I not pack enough food? Other people’s frogs are fully equipped with tents and water bottles, but my frog only has a rice cake. What if the rain soaks all of Froggy’s luggage...
A child travels a thousand miles, and a mother worries. From this game, I’ve found the feeling of being a parent and also understood how hard it is for our parents — they raised us through thick and thin, never expecting anything in return, just hoping we grow up happy. As children, what should we do? I probably don’t need to say much. Chinese New Year is coming soon — spend some quality time with your mom and dad at home.
