Seibu Department Store has long been popular among younger crowds, offering everything from stationery and kitchenware to health and lifestyle goods, making it a favorite stop for high school students and office workers on their way home. This time, the “Garden of Food and Greenery” on the ninth floor of the Ikebukuro main store has been designed as an urban oasis spanning 5,800 square meters. The highlight is the “Water Lilies Garden,” which recreates the serene and harmonious green palette of Monet’s famous Water Lilies series. Visitors can freely admire the lazily blooming water lilies in the pond.

In addition, the garden offers a variety of international cuisines served in street stall-style setups, allowing guests to enjoy their meals in the tranquil, green-surrounded space. In the evening, visitors can also dine and sip drinks outdoors in a relaxing atmosphere. Seasonal limited-time menu items are also introduced here. Beyond catering to adults, there is also a children’s play area equipped with simple play facilities to keep kids entertained.
