As the Peanuts comic celebrates its 65th anniversary, celebrations are in full swing. In addition to the SNOOPY 65th Anniversary Exhibition held in Taiwan earlier this year, the first-ever Charlie Brown Café also opened in Taiwan. Moreover, the world’s first SNOOPY-themed tea house also opened in 2014 in Yufuin, Japan!

The unique SNOOPY-themed tea house is located in Yufuin, Oita Prefecture, Japan. The shop’s Japanese-style interior decor and the universally adored SNOOPY are its biggest draws. The tea house is divided into three areas: an outdoor ice cream shop, a merchandise section, and an indoor tea house. The indoor tea house offers SNOOPY-themed set meals, desserts, and drinks. Guests can dine with SNOOPY dressed in a kimono while enjoying traditional Japanese sweets primarily featuring matcha flavors. Not only are the tableware from the SNOOPY series adorable, but the taste is also authentically Japanese, leaving a lasting impression. Additionally, the merchandise section sells a variety of SNOOPY goods, including limited-edition items with SNOOPY designs specially made by tea ceremony artisans—definitely not to be missed by SNOOPY fans.
