Everyone loves the delicious taste of fries — their crispy texture sprinkled with a touch of pepper salt, mixed with the aroma released by high-temperature fried potato starch. Every bite is pure satisfaction. In 2008, the world’s first unique fries museum opened in Bruges, Belgium, showcasing the life of fries and the history of potatoes, giving visitors an even greater appreciation for this beloved global snack while making their mouths water.

The Belgian Fries Museum is located in the Saaihalle, one of the oldest medieval buildings, spanning two floors in total. Naturally, the interior features a golden yellow color scheme reminiscent of fries. The exhibition space is divided into three major areas, introducing the history of potatoes, the history of French fries, as well as mouthwatering snacks and a sampling section of fries. The museum employs a diverse range of displays, including text, photos, cartoons, and paintings, primarily educating visitors about the history and knowledge of the world’s most popular snack.
